Occidental Xcaret is one of those resorts you’ll want to keep going back to. Attached to Riviera Maya’s favorite eco park, Xcaret, the resort covered almost as much ground as the park itself and has plenty to explore on the grounds. A handful of pulls are threading through the resort to the ocean front beach and wild life roams freely, from parrots to deer.
The food is fantastic, this is a place that turned me onto hot soups in the summer and I will not go back. A la carte restaurants get booked pretty quickly but you can make reservations upon arrival and if all fails the buffet has a great selection.
The architecture on the resort is built with great consideration to detail and close to the ocean there is even a small ruin surrounded by a field where the deer wander.
While there is plenty to do on the resort itself the great part about the location is direct access, and discount, to Xcaret part. A small boat takes you into the park where you can easily spend a full day.
While I don’t like to repeat vacations, with so much new out there to see and explore, this one I’d deffinitly like to return to, hopefully time treats it well.
