On this first winter day I’m reminiscing about the celebration of autumn w/ Glenfiddich Whisky 🥃🍂 — the day I traveled to Bisha hotel in just a light sweater…
Single malt scotch has become a passion of mine, surely assisted by this amazing community & living w/ a whisky ambassador ☺️. Glenfiddich, 15 is perhaps my favourite, is one of my go-to options for a nightcap or a slow sipping occasion for its subtle honey & vanilla flavours, well-balanced & complex.
What’s your favourite Glenfiddich 😃?
Fun story, a couple weeks later @thenadiae & I ran into each other in Lisbon walking into WebSummit - a pleasant coincidence!

My sister & I chose to do this trip slowly. One major attraction per day, follow the locals for food & wine, take breaks & enjoy the views. It was a great break in the sun before heading back into the cold.
A few stops:
1. Bodega Díaz-Salazar, for tapas & local wine w/ no nonsense service. Bodegas like this one get packed at lunch time & stay packed through most of the day w/ people chatting & sipping w/ not a care in the world. The barrels are filled w/ specialty wines like sweet & orange.
2. Alleyway view of the tower.
3. Setas de Sevilla, or better known locally as mushrooms. An interactive above ground permanent installation.
4. Antigüedades Bar de Tapas, great wine & liquor collection.
5. Rooftop at Hotel Vincci Molviedro, centrally located yet surprisingly quiet.
6. Pub La Tertulia, you can sit inside but most people come here to sit outside and enjoy the view over beers & cocktails.

This is Royal Alcázar of Seville 🦚
The complete structure includes a palace, underground baths, citadel-style wall & endless gardens across the property. It was built over roughly 3 centuries during the Islamic-era of Spain. The compound grounds, however, were founded in the early Middle-Ages.
The intricacies of every corner of this site are absolutely mind-blowing & very well preserved. You could easily spend multiple days wandering its many halls & boundless gardens.

Plaza de España in María Luisa park is really something! Pretty & intricate details everywhere you look.
If you’re so inclined, you can paddle around the square or see it from a horse carriage 🐴

The views of Seville from Catedral de Sevilla are breathtaking. You can see all the density of the city in full colour, through its narrow alleys and green treetops 🌳🌴

[Save fir tips] A few shots from Castelo de S. Jorge 🏰
Getting to the castle:
• There’s an elevator from the city centre that takes you to the viewing platform (Elevador Castelo on Google)
• … then the second elevator from a nearby supermarket (Elevador da Baixa)
• Then you’ll have to walk about 15min, uphill wavy roads along narrow signs, there are street signs directing you to the castle.
• The state case in the last frame is optional & leads nowhere from one of the castle walls.
Tip:
Do go into the supermarket & you like to keep snacks & bring food gifts home 🛒
