![Have you tried any of the Spring Mill whiskies?
I had an opportunity to try their lineup of beverages (including gin & vodka) and tour the distillery w/ the Sleeman family (John, Copper & Quinn) all three of whom still pour their heart & soul into the business.
The Sleeman family has a rich history of bootlegging & were required to stop brewing for 50 years but John Sleeman found his way back to alcohol industry & built the current distillery in Guelph. This building dates back to eighteen hundreds & was actually a distillery by design then too.
The Distillery does tours, on that tour you would see their beautiful copper still, from Scotland of course, and custom-made Canadian douglas fir wqshbacks. Quinn Sleeman trained in Scotland to make barrels & puts that knowledge to work here at the distillery as well.
Today the facility pumps out an impressive selection of liquids, including Traditional Straight Whisky, Sherry Finished Single Malt, The Cooper’s Rye - 100% Canadian Oak, gin, vodka & few RTDs.

Park City is home to Utah’s infamous High West Distillery 🥃
After the tour today we tasted a few of their drams. I was particularly drawn to the Double Rye & Campfire, a blend of bourbon, scotch, and rye whisky. Situated up in the hills w/ breathtaking views the distillery also has a great restaurant on site.

A quick search showed that Spiritual was the spot to be for cocktails in Saint George. Dimly lit, colourfully decorated w/ reclaimed furniture & vintage art the bar is a vibe.
On the table is Casablanca (gin, peach, aloe vera, clarified citrus) appropriately served over clear ice.
