This August is a bit of a big deal because the bridge community news are launching a travel section in the paper. For its first edition we wanted to start local and share a few ideas for weekend trips in Ontario. I shared a few of my favourite spots in the province, favourite hotels, wineries, and restaurants I cannot wait to return to.
About the newspaper:
“the bridge is a monthly community newsprint circulating in Toronto’s Downtown East area. With a commitment to local coverage, this periodical strives to source up-to-date activity and diverse interests from heritage, planning, culture, development, art, and opinions.”
Find the complete article on page 14 of the August issue of the bridge, available for free across Toronto Downtown East in local business including St Lawrence Market.
“In Ontario, weekend road trips that don’t involve a border crossing come in all shapes and sizes. From wine regions to provincial parks there are many options for short getaways from the noisy city. These four adventures are within a three-hour drive from downtown Toronto.”
I hav written about a few of these places in the past if you are interested in learning more about these wonderful mini-vacation destinations:
