Le Pradet is a small commune in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, southeastern France. Situated between Marseille and Nice this is a smaller, less crowded region with a few lovely beaches and nature walks. We found the location quite convenient, close to some nice restaurants and a scenic drive away from the wine region. Hôtel Escapade, Le Pradet, is a slice of garden South of France. It is a family-owned property and is also a beloved restaurant by the locals. A small turtle chased me across the grassy backyard there one time…

The Vibe & Shared Spaces
It is a rather old building, like most buildings in these parts of course. The common area has a blue pool with some large umbrellas and sun chairs. Morning coffee and breakfast is served near the pool but there are a few other seating areas spread out under the trees. I quite enjoyed relaxing by the pool in the sun and having late-night conversations in the garden shade.
Inside the Suite
The range of rooms can accommodate up to four people. We had a two-bedroom suite which proved to be quite cozy for a few days. There is a shared common space, some fun windows between rooms, and shutters that open onto the yard. The view from the third-floor room is really great, the garden yard in the foreground and the ocean in the distance.
Dining & Entertainment
The restaurant is across the street and according to the website has “two red forks in the Michelin Guide”. The dining room feels like a garden, covered by a sunny shade with a walkout onto the yard where the children can remain distracted for a time. The food is classic French, hearty, and delicious. In high season you might need a reservation, much like at any other restaurant in the region.
